About these streams

Nothing is loaded until you press play. The audio comes straight from each station's own streaming server, not through this site, so that server sees your IP address, the way any website you visit does. Until you press play it has not been contacted at all. Stopping a station closes the connection, so a paused stream is not quietly using your data. What else this site does and does not share is in the terms.

Streaming uses data. These streams mostly run at 128 kbps, which is about 58 MB an hour - an hour a day comes to roughly 1.7 GB a month. On a mobile bundle that is worth knowing; on home fibre it is nothing.

Keep listening while you read. Press Pop out in the player and the station keeps playing in a small window of its own while you use the rest of the site. On a phone, the controls appear on your lock screen.

Accra stations without a stream here

These are on air in Greater Accra, but no stream could be verified for them, so there is no play button rather than a guessed link that might play something else. Listen on FM, or on the station's own site.

Where this comes from

Frequencies are from the National Communications Authority's register of authorised FM stations, as at Q2 2026: it lists 89 stations authorised in Greater Accra, 78 of them on air. Every station here was checked against it, and every stream was tested by playing audio from it. Streams move, so the list is re-checked every few months, and a station whose stream stops answering is removed rather than left looking broken.
