Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority, which regulates food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, household chemicals and tobacco under the Public Health Act 2012 (Act 851).

It registers products, licenses premises, inspects imports and takes unregistered products off the market.

If you are importing anything edible, applied to skin, or medicinal - including supplements - registration is not optional and is not quick. Start it long before the goods ship.
