The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology, founded in Accra in 2008 by the Norwegian software company Meltwater.
It runs a full-time, fully funded training programme in software, business and communication for African graduates, and invests in companies its fellows start. It has also seeded much of the rest of the ecosystem: a striking number of people running Ghanaian technology companies, hubs and communities passed through it.
Its incubator space in East Legon has been a fixture of Accra’s technology scene for well over a decade.
